So, I'm gonna try that force of will thing, stop wasting so much time here and limit myself to certain hours. Now, how much time would it be healthy to spend in IJBM? (No points for whoever answers "zero".)

    I do something like this.  I reply to threads that interest me, and then check to see if there are any new posts in threads that interest me, and then read/reply to them, and repeat until there are no new posts in threads that interest me.

    I started doing this at the Caves of Narshe.  Did this once a day.  It was fine for that forum because it moved slowly enough.

    Then I did this at TV Tropes.  I ended up spending entire days on the forum.

    Now I just don't bother looking at topic lists sometimes, and simply stick to my watchlist.

    If you want to waste less time, go do stuff outside of your home, or with others. An exercise in self-control is admirable, but not really worth the effort.
