Because I liked the original IJBM.
What is your reason for staying?
The people. Y'all are fun to talk to. Most of the time, anyways.
What do you enjoy about IJBM?
Admittedly, not a lot, which is why I've been posting here less.
What did you like about the old IJBM in TV Tropes?
The variety of threads and the high thread turnover. There was almost always something that interested me.
Who was part of your general friend/posting group/nakama there?
Obvious answer is obvious.
What was the thing you enjoyed doing most on the old IJBM?
Wonderposting and sockpuppeting (I was kinda an idiot back then)

Everything.

Ban everyone I don't like.
How do you like to troll or piss off

I don't do that intentionally. It happens naturally, if it even happens at all.

How many times do you think you posted, per day?
What other forums do you know that feel like IJBM?
How could IJBM change for the better to suit yourself better?
That OTC is full of shit.
Did you meet any IRL friends on IJBM?
No.
How many people came to IJBM because of you, for good reasons or bad?
Nada.
How many times do you think you posted, per day?
Far too many.
What other forums do you know that feel like IJBM?
Nada.

If you divide the total number of posts on this forum by the total number of threads, what number do you get?
Where do you think the server of IJBM is located, and would you ever go on a holiday to visit it?
If you could ban one person on this forum, who would it be? Before doing so, would you try and reason with them, talk to them or give them a chance to change their behavior?
How many months, years or decades do you plan on being on IJBM, or when is the day that you will stop coming back?
When IJBM is finally annihilated off of the face of the internet, where will you go? How would old friends from TVT or IJBM contact you?

Ouch. That's low.
Not touching this one.
How many months, years or decades do you plan on being on IJBM, or when is the day that you will stop coming back?
Until it goes away or gets boring.
When IJBM is finally annihilated off of the face of the internet, where will you go? How would old friends from TVT or IJBM contact you?
It would be Cookies and Cream, because it has all of the structure of a regular forum, the meaningless fluff of a spam forum, and the sugariness inspired by a place that outlaws death threats, "fuck you and goodbye" speeches, gore spamming and forum war drama.
If you divide the total number of posts on this forum by the total number of threads, what number do you get?
Back in February, 7.6667. I actually did that once back when we only had 47 pages of threads.
Where do you think the server of IJBM is located, and would you ever go on a holiday to visit it?
It's located on Unknown_Entity's server, and I would totally visit him.

Boredom.
Hell if I know.
The fact that it was there.
Whoever was around, I guess.
Posting?
I dunno lol.
I dunno lol.
The stupid threads.
No idea.
Can't say I do.
Breathing.
Too long.
What is your reason for coming here?
Reading conversations, gossips, cheap laughs.
What is your reason for staying?
Same as above.
What do you enjoy about IJBM?
Above.
What did you like about the old IJBM in TV Tropes?
Same as above, plus the much higher thread creation rate and lighthearted discussions about serious topics.
Who was part of your general friend/posting group/nakama there?
I was forever alone.
What was the thing you enjoyed doing most on the old IJBM?
Reading. Didn't actually do much of anything.
Who are all the people you like the most in IJBM?
Can't... choose...
Who are all the people you dislike the most in IJBM?
I have a physiological inability to hate tropers, much less IJBMers.
What did you dislike most about IJBM?
Shitposting on serious (or should be serious) threads. Hypocritical exception to threads I hate.
If You were a moderator in IJBM, what would be your first course of action?
I don't think I'd do much. Maybe sheeply warn whoever seems to be breaking rules and be too shy to use mod tools.
How do you like to troll or piss off IJBMers, if you happen to do that?
I don't. Not intentionally, anyway.
What are you best known for on IJBM?
I 'unno.
How long have you spent on IJBM?
Edit because I can't read: If I had to guesstimate, maybe a year and a half.
What was the most helpful information that you learned in IJBM?
While I've learned quite a bit from (the older) IJBM, I don't think any particular thing has been notably helpful.
Did you meet any IRL friends on IJBM?
No. Nobody lives remotely close.
How many people came to IJBM because of you, for good reasons or bad?
One person. Didn't stay.
How many times do you think you posted, per day?
Since the move to vanilla, 699 divided by the number of days since January 8, or about 3 posts per day. On the IJBM of old it was considerably less.
By the by, you can go to your profile, go to comments and count by pressing the "More comments" button, with each press being a new batch of 30 posts.
What other forums do you know that feel like IJBM?
TV Tropes', of course, particularly Yack Fest
How could IJBM change for the better to suit yourself better?
Not much. Maybe if the wonderposting rule gets enforced a bit more
for threads I like.If IJBM had a flavour, what would it be?
Bittersweet.
If you divide the total number of posts on this forum by the total number of threads, what number do you get?
8.9615384615384 and so on.
Where do you think the server of IJBM is located, and would you ever go on a holiday to visit it?
On an island behind a waterfall. I might go depending on the island.
If you could ban one person on this forum, who would it be? Before
doing so, would you try and reason with them, talk to them or give them a
chance to change their behavior?
Nobody.
How many months, years or decades do you plan on being on IJBM, or when is the day that you will stop coming back?
When it stops being fun.
When
IJBM is finally annihilated off of the face of the internet, where will
you go? How would old friends from TVT or IJBM contact you?
*Shivers*
I was wondering about this.
What is your reason for coming here?
Well, the original IJBM was the place where I posted the most on the TV Tropes forum, mostly because I thought I was not smart enough for On-Topic Conversations and I believed that Yack Fest was not so good when it came to actually having conversations and discussions about subjects. I think at the time, a secondary reason was that I thought that there was something to be learned there since a lot of people seemed to have different perspectives than my own.
What is your reason for staying?
I guess I still think the conversations here are interesting or something. To be honest, I do not really have anything but selfish reasons for being here.
What do you enjoy about IJBM?
I like hearing what other people think about various subjects and seeing different and sometimes similar perspectives on things. Mostly, I like how threads can cover a wide range of subjects.
What did you like about the old IJBM in TV Tropes?
I suppose what I just said could apply to the old IJBM as well. I actually do not remember having any different reasons for being there.
Who was part of your general friend/posting group/nakama there?
I am not really into that kind of thing, sorry.
What was the thing you enjoyed doing most on the old IJBM?
I guess I liked reading about stuff I was interested in as boring and vague as that sounds. I cannot say I totally disliked all of the poopposting threads either
Who are all the people you like the most in IJBM?
I am not sure I really had favorites per se, but I think the people there I got along the best with (in no order) were Black Dove, Anonymous User, Central Avenue, spasticgecko, BobbyG, Cliche, Burinnu, Midnight Velvet, Beholderess, and maybe JewelyJ, Ponicalica, and Fawriel too. I guess I am basing that totally off of who I tended to converse with or agree with in threads. I am not sure how objective that is though. I might have missed some people or included too many.
Who are all the people you dislike the most in IJBM?
I dislike this question. I do think there were some people who I did not get along with for whatever unfortunate reason, but I hope to get over that kind of thing and learn to get along better with everyone here and there.
What did you dislike most about IJBM?
I disliked the sexual topics and the occasional flame wars and harshness that I saw in that forum.
If You were a moderator in IJBM, what would be your first course of action?
I would probably check hollers and see if anyone reported anything. Other than that, I am not sure, sorry.
What are you best known for on IJBM?
I am not sure I am known per se, but according to the introduction thread here I am "a member with self esteem issues" though your mileage may vary on that. I honestly do not think that kind of stuff matters at all.
How long have you spent on IJBM?
I started posting in the original IJBM in September 2009 so I guess a few months short of two years.
If
you could ban one person on this forum, who would it be? Before doing
so, would you try and reason with them, talk to them or give them a
chance to change their behavior?
I cannot think of anyone who I would ban unless he or she clearly was breaking the rules.
How many months, years or decades do you plan on being on IJBM, or when is the day that you will stop coming back?
I am not sure about this. I guess that depends upon whether I think I am truly contributing to the forum at all.
When
IJBM is finally annihilated off of the face of the internet, where will
you go? How would old friends from TVT or IJBM contact you?
I would probably just stay at TV Tropes. If that happened to be gone as well, then I suppose I would just not contact people here. I am not really sure I have "old friends" here, but if I did, I guess they could email me or something.
glennmagusharvey,
We need to get LouieW to come here and answer every question the way a dog would.
Sorry, I missed this when I was putting together my post. I am not sure I am really up to doing that this time since I am not sure how a dog would even answer these kinds of questions.
I decided to come here because the primary forum that I went to to discuss things that I generally enjoyed (TV Tropes) started to decline in quality once I started to recognize people, and then they recognized me, and there were too many people sitting snugly into the softness of the "don't be a dick" rule, and too many people circumenting it, and the magical google ban, which was being enforced way too heavily at the time, and the fact that after my sockpuppets got banned and KHSwO got boring. Also due to the fact that many people I enjoyed were coming to IJBM II so I followed them.
What is your reason for staying?
People I enjoy are here and I like the domain it's attached to, and the fact that the old vibe I got from it survived while some of the fuckfaces from back in the day couldn't migrate correctly into this system (due to them being banned or being afraid to leave the wonderful hole of TV Tropes forums). And because I can't access TV Tropes at times, for some weird reason.
What do you enjoy about IJBM?
The fact that it's not like OTC, and all of the giant streams of wank and anger do not pervade into this place, and people will not be actively stupid here due to the fact that very few know this place exists. The other forumites have an entertaining characterization about them that appeals to me, it's like reading a text-based webcomic where I view the opinions and lives of a bunch of characters, with their predictable quirks and repetitive cartoony nonsensical jabberings. It's also like I am interacting with the characters themselves, even though no matter what I do to them it never effects me on a real world scale unless I let it.
What did you like about the old IJBM in TV Tropes?
The forum software, most of the people who couldn't come back, and the amount of different topics to discuss. I have been to FAR shittier forums, so the "horrible" qualities of both IJBMs seem almost nonexistent. The main thing I liked about it was how unserious it was and lighthearted the conversations were. People weren't ready to
Who was part of your general friend/posting group/nakama there?
Counterclock, Dynamod and Midnight Velvet.
before the death of IJBM, it was Anonus, Electivirus, Central Avenue and Midnight Velvet, since I was inadvertently known as the mascot for "Team Shitpost", which actually kind of inspired me to start shitposting more.
What was the thing you enjoyed doing most on the old IJBM?
Watching how many different things you could discuss. It was like a buffet of different areas, whether they be pointing out "this could have been better" or "I miss this" and "where the fuck is X?"
Who are all the people you like the most in IJBM?
Electivirus, Counterclock, Midnight Velvet, Barkey, INUH, DYRE, Evilneko, Forzare, Black Dove, Anonus, Central Avenue, Ponicalica, Iverum, Tuefel, Miijhal, CaptainFargle, Stevebat, DarkDecapodian, Glowsquid, emeriin, Snailbait, Beholderess, Dynamod, Melloncollie, Everest, TzeTze and Zudak.
Who are all the people you dislike the most in IJBM?
Before the death of IJBM
Blaze Bullet, IYellalot, Made of Meat, Lockonlockon, Nick the Swing, Ukonkivi, Alkthash and Kashchei (for a while, then things got better), Lemurian, Irony Adams, Lolipod Distortion, Raw Power, and Edmania.
After the Death of IJBM
All of the above (except for Alkthash, Kashchei, Lockonlockon, Made of Meat and Edmania,) Saturn, GuitarBizzare, Nornagest, Belial, Cygan, Chagen, Tnu, G.G. (to an extent, got better), and Fawriel.
What did you dislike most about IJBM?
There aren't very many non-TV Tropes users. I wish I could invite more Goons here, but they spend enough time on SA and don't want to bother with "hippietrash software". Also the intensity of some threads, and the blackholing of drama threads like Chagens.
If You were a moderator in IJBM, what would be your first course of action?
Delete all of the dumb shit and hand out warnings for things that should have been warned for. Actually reply to flagged threads and posts and address them publicly so people know things are happening. Advertise the site a bit better to bring people other than IJBMers and bitter Yackfest goers over.
How do you like to troll or piss off IJBMers, if you happen to do that?
By enforcing my opinion as the only worthwhile one when people piss me off. I do not troll. Sometimes with Poe's Law responses just in case they are Reply Oracles that attempt to "predict" your responses and call them out accordingly.
What are you best known for on IJBM?
Elfen Lied fan, Being the one with the Yura avatar, and getting autobanned for having 40+ sockpuppets.
How long have you spent on IJBM?
Since September 22nd 2010.
If you could ban one person on this forum, who would it be? Before doing so, would you try and reason with them, talk to them or give them a chance to change their behavior?
How many months, years or decades do you plan on being on IJBM, or when is the day that you will stop coming back?
November 11th, 2011.
When IJBM is finally annihilated off of the face of the internet, where will you go? How would old friends from TVT or IJBM contact you?
I will return to Gaiaonline, TVTropes and SA and pretend this place never existed.
