Procedural Knowledge Gaps

In other words, those basic skills that many of us go through life without knowing, and can never really ask anyone about unless we are ready to be humiliated.

For example, I didn't know how to tie my shoes for quite a while, because I just couldn't wrap my head around that stupid bunny story. I didn't figure it out until someone just showed me what to do and dropped the story.

    Yeah I don't think I figured it out until first or second grade. Parents had to bribe me with a Lego kit.

    And this is a pretty frequent problem for me when the kitchen is involved.

    I can't remember how to tie a tie and I don't know if I could ride a bike since I haven't tried in over a decade.  I also have no idea how to dance without looking like a moron.

    I suppose the biggest handicaps you can have in this regard are probably illiteracy and innumeracy.

    Interesting that you've never heard of it. EVERYONE knew this story where I live. I can't remember how it went, but it had to do with this rabbit running around a hole a bunch of times before going in. Or something.

    Confused the hell out of me.
