This is a part of it my passion is starting to go next. i'm oddly indifferent about everything and can't see much point in getting involved. All of my passions are quiety and only my fears remain.

Wups disregard the other post I made in addition didn't know you could do that. not used to that.

    yeah i'm working on a big base fear right now that i'll become a social conservative as wella s a fiscal conservative which is something I do not want. I do not wnat to be a bigot!

    really "this lifestyle is unacceptable it needs to be legislated away" is not bigoted? "This idea is immoral and needs to be suppressed by law" is not bigoted?


    Maybe there's a better way I can put it i've lost passion to it. things bug the crap out of me but I don't feel the energy or passion to say or do anythign about it.

    There are conservative ideals that yes, I would say are bigoted.  But not all conservatives believe the same thing, and I wouldn't call most conservative ideal bigoted.

    I know that I'm fiscally conservative. I'm concerned about making a poor judgment and that creeping in to social issues. I was reading Turtle's Bullshit and wondering if I would become a "He Who Fights Monsters" type.

    As a conservative in both fiscal and social matters, I can happily inform you that my ideals are not bigoted in any way. I keep my morals to myself and don't try to force them on other people if I feel they're unwelcome, and when I do have to force them on others I don't single any group out.

    yeah the problem is the right is socially ciollectivist everybody deserves the same social rights and status as everyone else as individuals. it's the general impression I get.

    I don't force my beliefs on others unless I feel like I'd be physically or financially harmed if I didn't. Because I don't believe that same-sex relations harm me, I don't believe they should be prohibited. Because I can choose to switch channels or go to other sites, I don't believe the internet or other forms of media should be censored.

    I hold the Constitution to be as close to sacred as any bible. What rights are outlined in the Bill of Rights and following amendments can only be taken from a person if that person has been convicted of a crime. That, in my mind, is what a conservative believes. I'm not a reactionary.

    it's a shame most conservatives don't think like you. also you have to remember that the Constitution doesn't nessecarily give us our rights. Only protects them.

    Amendment IX:

    The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain

    rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the

    people.
