The catch-22 regarding sequels
In other words, when a series you used to love hasn't had a sequel in years and you want a new one, but you know that if such a sequel were made, it would probably be horrible for many reasons, a few of which being the fact that it's creators have left it alone for so long that by now they probably won't even know what to do with it and the fact that it would most likely fail due to a lack of interest anyway.
