I get really tired of seeing the same discussions over and over. It doesn't help that there's usually someone who's stupid, someone who's ignorant, and someone who's completely deaf to reason from the other side. And sometimes it's the same person exhibiting all those traits. Just as often as not there's one of those people on both sides.

Then we get the people who won't except reality unless it lines up with what they want to see. Yes, that applies to discussions about both topics.

I hope this doesn't sound conceited, but it's hard to feel motivated to participate when an individual in the discussion just seems horribly deluded.

^^I tend to avoid the kinds of threads I've mentioned above for the reasons I've mentioned above, so I don't think I've seen the posts you're referring to.
