Subjectivity (again)

No, it's not that subjectivity itself bugs me, it's how  everyone tries ending any argument by referencing it.

It kind of takes the fun out of arguing.

    Any argument CAN be ended with it though. Where the fuck did you learn how to argue?

    I know it can. ;_;
  • Do you mean when people punctuate every opinion with "in my opinion"?
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
    In my opinion, it's pretty fucking annoying when people do that.

    Not really, that's only arguments applied to inherently subjective things, like "my chinese cartoon is better than your chinese cartoon" discussions, and the like (by the way, my chinese cartoons are better, just saying).

    Awww, it's okay inkblot.

    When do people do this?
  • Also, while it may "end arguments", it really doesn't benefit its user's position at all. When you're arguing, you're usually trying to convince the opposing party or a third, non-active one of your own position. Claiming "Well, I like it and that's all that matters" is all nice and well, but in the end, you're not presenting a convincing argument in favor of whatever you're defending, leading others to be more likely to agree with the other party.
