The rest of the game isn't being released for a while, and I want a visual novel to fill the void with, but I don't want to stumble around looking because my expectations are already really high, since Katawa Shoujo is surprisingly well-written and has one of my favorite casts in a while, among other things that just make it a really enjoyable experience.

The only other Visual Novel I've played is Saya no Uta, and I beat that one in four hours (and unlike the apparent majority, I was not remotely freaked out by it, except on the level of being hyped up for some veritable mindrape and being sorely underwhelmed). Any recommendations? I asked over at TVTropes a while ago, but I can't remember what was suggested, nor do I care to find the discussion again. Or is there a useful Visual Novel thread over at TVTropes, or something? I'll look there, but until then, can anyone offer suggestions?

    ^ Wait, really? Damn, why didn't I put any ranks in Spot? Or did I just conveniently forget? Then again, I'm only ever in like one thread anyway, and I have it on my watchlist, not necessitating a look at the other subforums.

    And in any case, I was hoping for a recommendation, rather than having to look, as I said. It will just be good to have that subforum as an option, though.

    As it turns out, the Visual Novel subforum is tiny anyway, and I doubt I'd get any responses in a timely manner.
