This anime has to win an award for "Most fucking retarded plot concept ever" and "Most pathetically sexist plotline ever".

  • Considering what shows it would be going up against for both of those awards, I'm not sure I'd necessarily agree with you.  Then again, I don't know much about this show other than that it's an ecchi show about breast milk or something.
  • If it was just a normal show about breast-sucking (well, as normal as a show about breast-sucking could be), then I could bear it. Hell, I might even like it, breast-feeding being one of my fetishes.

But this is a show about magical warriors who get their power from tit-sucking.

Russian Orthodox warriors who get their power from tit-sucking.

I can't take that seriously. At all.

  • It looks pretty nice, actually, judging from the trope page.

    But....my god....

......I almost have an interest in watching this. Only because Breast-Feeding is one of my fetishes.
  • Why on Earth would you be trying to take it seriously in the first place?  It's a generic shounen ecchi action thing with shittons of fanservice and violence.
  • Also how can you make a judgment about its plot if you haven't watched it yet?
  • I was making a judgement of it's plot concept more.

But you said the plot was sexist.  There's no real way you can decide that without watching it or at least reading a plot description.  I don't think you can really decide that just based on the premise.

In any case, I still wonder why you were trying to take it seriously.

Also I still am pretty sure the premise of Strike Witches was stupider.  Or at least similarly stupid.

    1. What is with the title?

    2. Who the hell thought that this was a good idea on paper?

EDIT: After reading the trope page, I must say: Seriously, where did they get the idea for this?
  • I give it about a week before Chagen is a fanboy of it.

Well, I guess I found myself a new series to watch. Good thing, too, because I just finished Asobi ni iku yo! (best harem anime I've ever seen, by the way. Though that might change if I go back and retry To-LOVE-Ru).

Never mind; need to watch past episode 1 of Durarara!!

Well, maybe. Needless looks pretty cool, and I still need to watch Strawberry Panic, which I only just remembered was a series that had caught my interest.
  • But you said the plot was sexist.  There's no real way you can decide
that without watching it or at least reading a plot description.  I
don't think you can really decide that just based on the premise.

While I'm not sure this is the case (SnQ is, by all accounts, pretty bad, so I don't really want to bother with it), a show's premise and/or the basic structure of the plot can reveal it to be obviously sexist, without having to watch the show to verify it.
  • ^ Maybe, but then again there are a lot of instances of shows turning out to be nothing like their premise should indicate.  Not that I'd expect Seikon no Qwaser to be such a show...

    ^^^^ This.

^^ Hm... in theory, I don't like harem anime.  In practice, I ended up liking most of the shows that fit the basic idea of it (even if they weren't necessarily harem shows per se), and at least a few that actually are harem shows.  This bugs me.
  • I'm not seeing how this is worse than when human semen is used as a power source.
  • In Lotte no Omocha?

That's a show I want to watch, but... I will wait for the Blu-ray rips, which will hopefully be less censored.

In any case, that's an example of a show which doesn't quite match up with what its premise would suggest.

I just mean the concept itself, not when a show uses it.

Not like it matters anyway to me though on that specific show,  since I only watch Lotte no Omocha! for Naoya the Hayate expy anyway.

Wait, there's a show where semen is used as...

    Okay, I give up.

Well, that show in particular is more just Rie Kugimiya voicing yet another twintailed tsundere loli and nobody cares about the rest of the show.

^^ You can pretty much expect every single thing where a succubus shows up to have something similar.

Sometimes it isn't just them, but most monster girls, even angels (I think I saw that somewhere but I don't remember where.)
  • They call me Rate Miser, whatever I see... turns overrated in my eyes...
Jesus, and I though original videogame plots were getting bad. This is pure horror.
  • Most original plots in general will be bad in comparison to what is already known to have a decent effect.
  • Original videogame plots were "getting" bad?  They've always been horrible.

^ Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that...
  • They call me Rate Miser, whatever I see... turns overrated in my eyes...
Bad Dudes, at least, is funny for good chuckle or two at times. "Console Wars: The Game" is so ridiculous and forced that no laughter can exist, if not much. Still, "Console Wars: The Game" is not quite as sexist as this anime, so it's not nearly as horrible.

I don't really think Bad Dudes has an ORIGINAL plot, I mean if you replace "ninjas" with 'terrorists" people would think it is quite cliche.

To be honest, I can't see what's so bad about the premise of Chou Jigen Game: Neptune.  Or Seikon No Qwaser, for that matter, other than that both are mildly silly and not terribly believable, neither of which necessarily reflect badly on the work itself.

@Edmania: Yeah, but Succubi would make sense.

EDIT: It turns out that the trope page mentions that.
  • Other than some stuff in the first episode, there haven't been any ecchi scenes requiring censorship in Lotte no Omocha.

That's... kinda disappointing. Though not unexpected.
