Yes this is a spinoff of the Zero Punctuation topic... because I can! But no, seriously I keep seeing the idea "he's just joking" presented as if it automatically nulls and voids any point a person makes. Since when did that become a valid response? To put it another way: Are you saying that because Stephen Colbert is funny, that he never points out a valid flaw in a political party's thinking? This is just silly. Unless, of course, you're just joking. Peace!

If you're talking about Zero Punctuation, the thing is that he deliberately exaggerates flaws. To use the Colbert comparison, taking his opinion about a game at face value is like taking Colbert's opinion on a topic at face value.

Not quite, but I should have been clearer. Since the topic was about Zero Punctuation being taken way too seriously, I meant it in the sense of "he panned it, now it sucks" and people who can't distinguish opinion from hyperbole.
