    Passive–aggressive behavior, a personality trait, is passive, sometimes obstructionist resistance to following through with expectations in interpersonalor occupational situations.


    Symptoms

    • Chronically being late and forgetting things: another way to exert control or to punish.


    • Fear of dependency

    • Fear of intimacy as a means to act out anger: The passive–aggressive often cannot trust. Because of this, they guard themselves against becoming intimately attached to someone.


    • Making excuses for non-performance in work teams




    • Victimization response: instead of recognizing one's own weaknesses, tendency to blame others for own failures.

    Ahem, this one exhibits quite a lot of these traits...

    Fear of dependency

    Making chaotic situations
    Obstructionism
    Procrastination
    Sulking


    Also, does resorting to rules-lawyering and/or cold irreproachable but almost insulting politeness count? Daring the other party to leave me alone or step outside of rules first and give me a legitimate cause against them? For honestly, these are this one's main ways of approaching situations in which direct confrontation would be...inadvisable.

    But it seemed like a reasonable course of action...
