It crashes a lot now. And is horribly glitchy on startup.

WTF happened? It was perfectly fine and then one day it just became really shitty.

  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
Works fine for me. Except for videos, for some reason.
  • The Sonic Series Wiki Curator of TvTropes
    Works perfectly for me.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    Use Firefox.
  • Try clearing your cache and disabling any extensions that seem problematic.

If that doesn't work, uninstall it and install it again.
  • Has friends besides tanks now
It's fine for me. except when I'm loading a YouTube video and I go to another page before the first image loads, in which case the image doesn't show up, and I can't replay it or pause or anything like that, so I have to refresh and stay on the page until an image shows up.
  • For me, it freezes on startup--If I try to enter anything in the textbox, it freezes and usually takes around 5 minutes before it unfreezes.

Also, I had my computer shut off while browsing one time. Instead of saving my tabs like normal, Chrome basically got blanked and wiped clean. And it won't save tabs anymore.

Do you ever clear your history?
  • I think the history got cleared from the accidental shut-down I described.

It started doing this freezing crap after the shut-down.
  • Well I dunno about the freezing and such.  It was just that for me in Firefox, it always took forever to start up because it spent a long time loading the history... or so I assume, since it got faster after I cleared it.  But even still that would have nothing to do with any of your other problems.
  • Can someone tell me how Incognito Mode is so awesome?
  • Because people are afraid other people will find out that they look at porn.
  • ...is that all

and even in that case can't you just like wipe your history and stuff

Really, the only thing Incognito mode does is it doesn't cache anything or store any cookies or save your history.  So the only real use of it is if you're doing something that you don't want to show up on your browsing history.  So wiping your history and cache and cookies once you're done will have exactly the same effect.

Though, it also is convenient if you want to be logged into a website on multiple accounts at once, I guess.
  • Yeah, I only really use the incognito mode when I want to play on TVTropes as Charlotte or Twilight Sparkle.
  • DYRE: I checked the browser history.

It seems to be completely wiped. So that's not the problem.
  • I'd wipe it anyway, just in case there's a corrupted cache or whatever.
  • You forget you made this thread, Chagen?
