    You're so white that if you were a road sign, your text would have to be set in Highway Gothic because it would have to be in a darker color to even show up, and ClearviewHwy has not been approved by the FHWA for use in negative contrast!

    I'm a liberal, I'm supposed to get offended all the time.

    I don't find it offensive, I find it dismissive.  I used to read it as a tongue-in-cheek poking fun at things middle class people like myself did.  Now I'm uncomfortably aware that there are aspects of my behaviour that may be judged as being indicative of "following the herd", as it were, no matter what my reasoning behind them.
