The Most Dangerous Game and Colosseum Battles

The Most Dangerous Game was a book. It was about a rich guy who hunted humans as game on his private island.

Colosseum battles are where people laid their lives on the line for the entertainment of others, usually through gruesome battles with wild animals and other gladiators.

Let's declare this. America is now insane enough to emulate TMDG and Gladiatorship as legal venues of entertainment. What would happen? It's the '10's, so would the fights be more entertaining or less entertaining? Who would be hunted?

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
It would be a good way to solve illegal immigration.

Poverished mexicans fighting lions on Cable TV? If they win then they earn 100k and their citizenship? Sounds reasonable.

    I'd watch that.
  • It's probably more humane than what some of them already have to go through. What do you bet people would only make a stink about it because it'd have to be publicized and officially sanctioned?
  • Me too.  It might finally get me into a sport.  I demand explosions in my entertainment, and normal sports have been letting me down.
