I've never encountered one that was "fun" in any sense of the word. Every single one I've been forced to do was horrifically boring, and simply useless. I've never really the material any better than what the books taught me, so I don't get that strange justification.
And I really don't know why people think they're much more fun than simple bookwork. Fuck that, I'd rather read the books and ace the tests than be forced by the school system to do these bullshit projects. They're the reason my grade average is always so low, mainly because I quite often flat-out don't do them intentionally. Worthless fucking school system. I don't fit your bullshit "average student" model, you useless tax-money leeching fucks.
And the less we talk about presentations, the better.
Fickst Schul und fickst diese Schulprojekte.

...That's a smart plan, right there.
Little does he know, gratuitous use of foreign languages just makes you look like a 馬鹿.
Foreign language.
Also, I don't know German, but how does saying "Fuck school" help keep your German fresh.
Any kind of usage of a foreign language reinforces it--including hearing it. Why do you think language immersion is so important to SLA and that people recommend staying in a foreign country for a while while learning its language?

u mad bro
But that doesn't count because that's senior year of high school, not freshman year.
It was a lot of work.
It was also the year that my health problems started. I'm not sure if these two things are related.
Senior year I took AP Calculus, AP English Literature&Composition, AP Physics, and AP Studio Art. I was going to take AP Psychology too, but it wouldn't fit in my schedule.
It actually wasn't bad though. I think AP classes get less work than regular classes, plus it meant that I ended up starting college with over a semester worth of credits, so unless I screw up somewhere I should end up graduating in less than 4 years (or, well, less than 3 years from now).
I took three AP classes this Year: Biology, Algebra, and English. I'm not doing so good in the latter.
It was too much work, so I switched it around next year: I'm still taking three AP classes still, but they're Geometry (I'm always good at math, no problems there), Chemistry (I've heard it's mostly number-crunching), and German (I'm damn good in this class. This year it's been the only class of mine that I've consistently had an A in).
"I think AP classes get less work than regular classes"
lol NO
My AP classes are defined by being nothing but massive slogs of work that far outstrips my normal ones. They are just insane, they assign you like a week's worth of work each day.
Not that I would know, because I missed the whole last quarter of my junior year, so I couldn't take them.
BUT I'VE HEARD THINGS.
Chemistry was loleasy. It's pretty much just algebra. Except easier than that. Though, AP Chemistry might be a bit different. But I kind of doubt it.
German probably sucks because language classes are terrible.
"German probably sucks because language classes are terrible."
Nah, my German class is pretty good. Mainly because the teacher is a native German herself and she knows how to explain grammar very well. I never had any trouble in that class, my teacher is great. And since she's a native German herself (She was born right at the end of WWII--her family was in the American occupied zone of Germany, so she had to learn English in school), I can always figure out how to pronounce words correctly just from hearing her say them.
I don't like memorizing lots of things, which is what you do in language classes and history classes.
Math is nice because you don't have a lot of things to memorize, and if you forget something on a test, a lot of the time you can figure it out yourself. You have to memorize a few more formulas in science classes, but even then it's not bad, plus they're usually somewhat intuitive. And English classes usually just require that you be able to read, and then be capable of thought. And art classes (in high school) mostly just require that you show up to class.
"I don't like memorizing lots of things, which is what you do in language classes and history classes."
I see what you mean-I hate memorizing things in History (it was never my best subject).
But maybe I am naturally tuned to languages. I pick them up strangely faster than most other people--even complicated parts simply need a good explination or two and I remember it pretty well. Given how all languages have a well-built skeleton of grammar that doesn't change, I view language as simply a complex and odd form of math. I just remember grammar and vocabulary really well for some reason.
