  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
I'd like to avoid that reputation.

As far as I can tell, snowbull and fox got banned for no good reason. Inkblot was banned for spamming the forums.
  • To be specific, I found out a way to intentionally doublepost (which has been fixed now, (un)fortunately). One 1500-posts-in-10-minutes thread later, one of the mods found out and banned me for it.
  • Huh, I don't remember that. Must've been before my time.
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
I remember you doing it at least four times.
  • So, did you get it out of your system, or is it still "complain about inkblot" time?

^^ No, I remember doing it. I just don't remember Inkblot doing it. And apparently, getting banned for it.

Wait, is Fireworks talking about you or me?

I'd like to avoid that reputation.

You can't. Our ED page and #yackfest prove that if you give tropers a place to bitch about each other, they will do so.
  • He's talking about both until observed, then promptly collapses into talking about only one of you.
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
    You, inkblot.

At least I think it was you, but somebody clogged up a couple threads with chains of 20 or so posts.
  • I taught the "technique" to other tropers, but whether it was them or me who did it, I don't know.

IJBM: my slow-as-fuck computer reduces my typing speed to 1 character per 2 seconds.

    Well w/e then.

The ED page had the majority of the contributions made by butthurt banned people.

They are working on fixing it, from what it says on the discussion page.

    ...fucking hate our page.

And someone just added a new person to "THE LIST"

Who the fuck is Redhead? And how are they notable?
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
    okay?
  • No it's not okay Spain Sun.
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
"Who the fuck is Redhead? And how are they notable?"

    Inkblot, I think.

I mean "okay?" as in, "I don't see what that has to do with this thread". For that matter, given that our page is written by a bunch of banned idiots with massively obvious agendas, I don't see why we should care.
  • Redhead is Inkblot, but the new person on the ED list is Redhair. As in, that guy who kept re-creating an article about a made-up cable channel every time it would get deleted.
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
    Redhair is that weird-ass troll.
  • He's not a troll, probably a dumb kid.

I'm not Redhead. I'm not Redhair either - that's the Disney Kidzone guy.
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
The "weird-ass" part of that was the most important part, and still applies, Anon.

"This is the come to place for Banned users of Tv Tropes and Tropers to communicate."

"I'd like to avoid that reputation."

    MOD VOICE: So would I.

Even if you say "people will do it anyway", I'll cite Fast Eddie's own reasoning: there's a difference between allowing something and encouraging it.

"To be specific, I found out a way to intentionally doublepost (which has been fixed now, (un)fortunately). One 1500-posts-in-10-minutes thread later, one of the mods found out and banned me for it."

Just because you CAN take a leak on a rooftop in the middle of an ice storm doesn't mean it's a good idea.

"I taught the "technique" to other tropers, but whether it was them or me who did it, I don't know."

Suddenly, you don't seem like as nice of a guy as I thought you did.  I wonder why.
  • Was "click 'send' multiple times to post more than once" really that hard to figure out? I discovered it by accident.

Also, I'm assuming it's ok to mention the "method" here, because it doesn't work anymore.

I'm not bragging about it, and I never intended to harm anyone or the site itself. That thread I was talking about was my very boneheaded attempt at a forum game (I was only teaching other tropers about it so they could play the game, too), and it wasn't until after my ban when I realized intentionally exploiting a forum glitch   wasn't a very funny idea at all. I'm sorry.

If you ban me, I won't come back. I promise.

  • edited 2011-01-20 18:09:53
I find it odd that you'd be banned for that, but The Mighty Anonym and I weren't banned that one time we filled at least two threads with every kind of broken markup we could figure out. *shrug*
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
Not really something you're supposed to do. Whether or not you'll be banned depends on what mood Eddie is in when he discovers your mess.

Well, there is a difference between discovering a forum bug that causes double-posts and exploiting it to post several hundred times.

That said, you haven't been enough of a jackass for you to warrant banning here yet.  Please don't try it.
  • Gomen Nasai Owwu Owuu~
  • I think I might stop posting on TvTropes. Some of the people there are pissing me off.
  • I'm realizing two of the threads left that I have the most interest in involve fan fiction and/or people who get butthurt over differing opinions.

Yeah, I know the latter happens everywhere, but I don't like getting ganged up on for mentioning my thoughts about a card game.
