Internal jokes that are taken way to far
A while back, my friend on Skype and his friend felt the need to insert "KAWAII DESU NE" into every single fucking sentence they said because they felt they were making fun of weeaboo's by acting like them, now the thing is, she says it so fast and loud that it becomes run together so it becomes "QUADESUNE" and when I called her out on this, it started this whole thing of her and him and pretty much everyone he knows that I know turning this "Qua" thing into a fucking meme, at first it was funny but now it's bordering on 4Chan style abuse, they never shut the fuck up with it, finding ways to shove it into the conversation and now it's gone past silliness and into god knows what kind of territory. I've called him out on it in a longass rant I gave him a few weeks ago where I told him that it's downright insulting and what this has done is just made it worse (yeah, I know, kind of asking for it).
I know this is the internet but for fuck sake, what the fuck is up with this shit, I've been able to handle a lot of stuff but this is just really fucking annoying.
(Yeah, I tend to use a ClusterFBomb when I'm really angry).

(Don't take me seriously.)
lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your
damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these?! Demand to see life's
manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson
lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house
down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a
combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
Best line ever.
Uh, hi.
@ GMH: I thought everyone had forgotten that joke by now.
Probably goes some way towards explaining my MSPA addiction, actually.
Same thing happened to me when some friends were trying to parody otaku by constantly talking about waifus and forever alone.
glennmagusharvey,
I love overused running gags, continuity nods, and brick jokes.
I like them too, but I can understand how they might make some people feel left out in the same way that being excluded from a clique or the like would. That is part of the reason why I tend to dislike it when so-called "regulars" bunch together on forums or purposely treat new users poorly.
I think that repeating the same thing over and over again can be annoying though and I feel like that is a lot more annoying in real life than it is online for some reason. I might just be stating the obvious.
