If this is to cut server load, I see one very important flaw:

Instead of loading a few pics, won't people repeatedly be loading all those 100+ galleries?

    Or you could just post your boring Pony avatars in links with nice titles? That way the server only loads ones people click on and 20+ people won't be loading every avatar on the thread at once?

    Unless this is about a thread that isn't Avatars.

    I think it's really only in Avatars, since that's the only thread where people regularly embed lots of images in a single post.  But I assume if that happened in other threads he would not want you doing it there either.

    ^^^^I suppose that works too, though it's still problematic when people are loading their ENORMOUS galleries.

    People like me, for instance. Nearly 1000 images in one go HAS to be worse than a person embedding ten avatars and people loading them a few times.

    Say 3 people upload 3 avatars they acquired and post the images on the thread.

    That's 9 avatars to load every time somebody opens that thread, think of how many people regularly look at that thread.

    I don't think KHSWO is held up to the same standards as th Avatar thread.

    There are less viewers, for one. And nobody there, as far as I am aware, has ever posted like, 50 avatars at once.

    I've saved my gallery in cache form, at least, so I shouldn't put too much of a burden anymore.

    Do you know if Evilneko asked by PMing Madrugada, or by using the holler button? Because last time someone hollered a KHSAS-related thread, a mod showed up and resolved the issue, then the thread vanished overnight for no apparent reason.

    Hopefully he does. Most of the people on that site use none of the avatars they collect anyway (Parable).

    I don't understand why people can't just collect avatars by saving images to their own computer.  Far easier than uploading them or sharing them IMO.

    I would also gladly take a limit of 50 or 100 avatars per person to get strikethrough reinstated.
