Fun

They call me Rate Miser, whatever I see... turns overrated in my eyes...
When a person complains about whatever and somebody defends with "it's fun!" What do the defenders mean by "fun" that goes against what the complainer is talking about?

Comments

  • They mean "fun" in the way meaning they get fun from the other person's discontent. Apparently.
  • We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year
Because usually, the complainers are trying to get the defenders to stop what they're doing. The defenders don't want to stop, because they find what they're doing fun.

It's enjoyable to at least one person, ergo it's not necessarily always bad.

    ^ Also this.
  • I hate fun.

This is not cut and dry. If one person is deriving fun from playing their music far too loud when they live next door to a newborn baby, and refuses to trun their music down or off when asked, then the person playing their music is in the wrong to be pursuing their fun.

If one person is deriving fun from something like music on the other hand, and a person complains about it purely because they dislike that album, not because its too loud or too peircing, but simply because they don't like the music, then neither person is in the wrong and a compromise must be reached.

If the person who dislikes the music is refusing to compromise whatsoever, and insists this person must stop listening to that music entirely, in their presence or not, then the person who is having fun listening to their music is in the right to continue listening to it if they so please, as the other person is being unreasonable.

Oh hey, whaddaya know, that means there isn't enough info to go on and therefore each instance of...whatever this thread is complaining about, has to be evaluated on its own merits.

There you go. Thread over. I've covered all the possible angles. We can stop now.

When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
Well, let's break things down for further examination.

F: is for friends who do stuff together.

U: is for you and me.

N: is for anywhere at anytime at all.

OT: Fun is subjective. I'll never complain about someone who refuses to join a group because their definition of "fun" is different from others'.
  • Because you never know what you might see.
@ OP: I know that if I were to say this, it would not be a counter argument, simply an alternative opinion.
