Being born at the wrong time

edited 2011-04-26 21:13:13 in General
Glaives are better.
You were born too late. The Age of Discovery has come and gone. You'll never trek through jungles and discover new civilizations.

You were born too early. The age of space exploration is in its infancy, and won't reach a point where you can easily explore the galaxy until long after you're dead.

  • What, the Internet age is not good enough for you?
  • Glaives are better.
Nah, I love the internet, don't get me wrong, but the internet won't disappear in the age of SPAAAAAACE. And living in a real life Warhammer setting would more than make up for the lack of online image boards.

  • Back in those days, you would have much more likely been a peasant with no voice of her own struggling just to survive.

Yeah, see, back then, chances are that you're a peasant and your life sucks.

Or you're a noble, and yet you still don't know how to shower.  And there's no running water.  And doctors use leeches to suck out your blood.
  • I'LL STAY MAI HAUNDS...WITH YAU BLAHT
Very often, I look at how people lived and worked and loved back in those days and I give a million thanks for being born now.
  • You got to live in the age where the internet was in its infancy and you got to explore cyberspace while we were all figuring out just what we could do with it.

    Stop whining.
  • I look forward to telling my grandkids stories about the Internet, back when it was new and edgy and experimental, before net neutrality broke and we had to start logging in with our social security numbers.
