    It doesn't help that on WorseThanItSounds, a lot of the things there are actually way better than the description indicates.  Mostly because the description usually indicates wangst and grimdark.

    BetterThanItSounds has a similar problem.

    Some of the WTIS descriptions make the works sound downright boring.  The description of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann makes it sound like every Northern industrial town-related awardbait novel ever.

    ^^ The anime is School Days, hence the referencing the Nice Boat meme, since School Days was where it originated. By the way, I don't recommend watching it, since its cast is comprised of fucking unlikeable morons. I don't say that lightly, being a big fan of stupid interpersonal drama myself.

    Considering the page for it actually uses its idiot plot as a selling point, I wouldn't think too highly of it.
