As if this trope wasn't bad enough, some cases are particularly dreadful. Bravo comes to mind for me, and it's unfortunate that NBC bought it and filled it with stupid reality shows before I was old enough to take an interest in its former focus (film and the arts).

I remember when they announced the name change. I have never been a fan of the name, nor do I think the identity that went with it really fit the channel's genre, but I do think the old logo was tacky and needed to go.

I know, not much to do with their programming here.

What really bugs me is that when they canceled Stargate SG-1, they did it at the airing party for the 200th episode, which is just mean. And then for Stargate Universe, they didn't even tell the crew, instead just letting them know on Twitter.
