So, yeah. The local police station is kind of having a hard time making ends meet. So they decided to drastically shorten employee shifts and just keep 24 people working.

I have a stay at home job, but the job requires me to be constantly on the move, even during the nighttime. So in order to get some rest, I hanged hammocks at 24 strategic places around the house.

I collect them, partly because I think they look neat, and partly because I find the sound of many clocks ticking to be soothing at night.

That, and clocks were one of my Obsessive Interests™ as a child and I never really grew out of it.

Is this still going? Well let me tell you about my grandma, then. She's really amazing. The things she can do with some yarn and a couple of needles will blow your mind. She makes me a sweater every Christmas and those are the warmest things ever. It's been slowing a lot around here recently, so the people in charge of clearing the streets have been working overtime. People were worried about them succumbing to the cold, so my grandmother decided to make a bunch of wraps that they could wear while working.
