Real Music vs. Video Game Music

I think they both count as real music. The division should be rec-comp licensed music vs. video game music.

It still bugs me that most people don't think of video game music as real music.

^^ Sooo close on the Castlevania one--something like Bloody Tears or Richter's theme was actually one of my top choices. But i went with classic NES goodness (from the DuckTales game). As for the second one, I don't even know. I just googled "worst song", skipped over several links to "Friday", and then clicked on the first thing I saw after that.

Most video game music I really like is from Bemani games.

So... only barely video game music.

Most other music in video games is pretty boring and forgettable, and not usually very enjoyable to listen to out of its original context.

@DonZabu: Hmm, that's a tough one. On one hand, they're both made of pure awesome. But the top one is incredibly depressing (but in a good way) and the bottom one is incredibly annoying (but in a good way).

Still, I'm gonna have to go with Bowie, but just barely.
