Eight in the morning to two in the afternoon. Why would I do that? I'm not even sure if I can get a lifeguarding job, once the course is over. It would be a nice first job, I'll admit.

    Even if pools are cutting costs and hiring fewer lifeguards.

    ^^^ Turns out I was one of three people taking the course, and the one woman was an adult was . . . not attractive. The instructor, of all people, was the most attractive. She looks like a girl I know, except skinny, taller, and a little older (and taken).

    It was . . . a little stressful. I nearly failed the float-the-brick-above-the-water test because I went past the brick the first time, took a good thirty seconds looking for it, and was winded carrying it back because my first dive turned up no brick and I had to go back to the top for air. The talking wasn't interesting, but we got to practice rescues. That was kind of fun (would have been more fun with a girl my age, though).

    ^^ I guess extra sexiness points would help. And yeah, I'm mostly desensitized to people in swim wear now (mostly).

    Read the above post, then. Hormones had nothing to do with it. It was mostly so I could get a wintastic first job. Or try to.
