Basically a recommendations thread, except the one over at TvTropes is too long for me to casually peruse. Specifying the genre would help.

    Well, I bought At The Drive-in's album in/CASINO/OUT pretty shortly after listening to Napoleon Solo, so I guess that counts. (post-hardcore)

    And also Too Much by Sufjan Stevens (electro-folk pop). And Black Dog by Led Zeppelin (I think you know what genre this is).

    Generally, if I really like a song from YouTube then I'll buy it, but only if I know it'll be listened to repeatedly.
