PETA vs. The Westboro Baptist Church

I still have yet to figure out why people hate both of these factions so much. The Westboro is only doing what they believe to be right, and they unify together as a family to fight off sin and corruption. PETA are only out there to save animals (except for snakes and tarantulas for some reason).

But a thought occured to me. Which one is the better of the both? Which one is more likeable than the other? Which one is causing more damage to the world right now?

Which one has a bigger sphere of influence over America?

They're both trolls. They both say the most ridiculous things they can in order to garner a reaction.

Sometimes PETA doesn't do the research and stirs up shitstorms just for the sake of attentioin. Westboro NEVER does the research or care in the slightest.

True. I hardly approve of their actions, but they seem less reprehensible to me. (Although PETA as an organization is probably more worth worrying about, being far bigger.)

Best not to "rank" them, really. Don't treat one as worse than the other, just treat them both as bad things, but different.

You can rank some things, of course, like World War is obviously worse than injuring your finger, but don't get into the mindset that if one thing is worse than something else, that something else doesn't become "good" in comparison
