If you have an email ending in @hotmail.com, @live.com or @outlook.com (or any other Microsoft-related domain), please consider changing it to another email provider; Microsoft decided to instantly block the server's IP, so emails can't be sent to these addresses.
If you use an @yahoo.com email or any related Yahoo services, they have blocked us also due to "user complaints"

    This also means my brother will spend hours on the computer pain-stakingly re-adding every song he has to our library, because he refuses to just listen to his actual iPod like a sane person.

    At least your brother still has his songs to re-add.  That's something.  Although I guess this presumably means nobody else will be able to use the computer for a while?
