Why can't everything just be in decimal! Why would you devise a system that needed to be converted into another when you could just use the other system that needed no such kind of mechanic in the first place?!
I swear. I will never learn fractions.
And I hate math.
STOP USING FRACTIONS WORLD!

Plus, decimals are just fractions anyway. ...sort of.
Also there's not really much of a need to convert from fraction to decimal. Just keep everything as a fraction.
^ And that.
^I would argue decimals and fractions are simply different ways of writing the same thing (for example 0.254 = 254/1000).
1/3 = 0.1 in base 3.
But decimals may make more sense for raw data from instruments, while fractions make more sense for formulas derived from pure math (area of a sphere = 4/3 pi r2)
