The community of the Nethack wiki that was on wikia rather hated the new interface, opted to go with the old one where possible, and has since moved to their own server anyway.

Which sucks, because I don't want to commit to membership in that wiki, especially if it's not of a series I know very well.

Signing up for a wikia page means you sign up for a global account for all wikia pages.  If you sign up for the fetish fuel wikia, you also sign up for onepiece, transformers, bleach, wookiepedia, etc. wikias.

The monobook theme makes a wikia look almost like wikipedia.
