Google Chrome crashes a lot.

More specifically, whenever I turn it on after I shut my computer down.

You know how Chrome saves your tabs automatically whenever you shut it down? As long as my computer is on, this works fine. However, if I save my tabs and then turn my computer off, it will crash later. After turning my computer back on, if I go to Chrome and open it, it always crashes, making saving my tabs useless. Even if I let it crash and then restore the tabs, it still crashes. I have to turn it off, lose all the tabs, and then restart whenever I turn my computer back on. Which makes saving my tabs useless.

This is annoying. Especially since Chrome is amazing in every other respect except for this Game Browser Breaking Bug.

  • In my experience, if I don't close Chrome before I shut down Windows, Windows will see it still running and attempt to force-quit the chrome.exe processes, which Chrome sees as crashing, and thus it doesn't save the session. Usually if I close it before I click "Shut Down", it'll save my tabs.

It is a really stupid oversight on  Google's part.
  • That's...nothing like what I said, but okay....
  • Honestly, I couldn't really understand what you said, so I posted my own complaint.
  • What I meant is that when I close Chrome, it will save my tabs.

However, if I turn off my computer, and then turn it back on, Chrome will still have my saved tabs, but it will crash upon starting. So I just have to get rid of them anyway. Which makes saving tabs useless.
  • Oh. I haven't experienced that. Have you tried reinstalling it and all that stuff?
  • Well, I could try that. Maybe I'll do it later.

  • I've never had that problem.  It only tries to save my tabs if it crashes.

Luckily, I never want my tabs saved.

Strange. I honestly never had this issue, and I've been using Chrome since August.
