Frogs in Pikmin

Cue-bey
Most other animals either eat the pikmin or leave them alone. The frogs seem to go out of their way to just crush the pikmin with their corpulent asses for nothing more than their sick amusement. Were they abused as tadpoles? Are frogs just naturally evil?

  • Maybe Pikmin resemble some type of naturally occurring pest who frogs instinctively kill to defend their territory?
  • Pikmin are pretty much the prey of everything, and most predators will actually ignore them unless they get uncomfortably close and give up chase pretty easily, but a frog will go several feet from its pool if it so much as sniffs a pikmin anywhere nearby. This is compounded by the fact that they're more annoying to kill than most of the bosses.

I feel like this has something to do with me going out the way to kill the tadpoles. At first I didn't bother with them because they were too bothersome to catch but after one too many encounters with roving frogs I tried to kill every one of them, even though they don't affect in game frog occurrence at all.
