bad sprinklers

Went to Subway for dinner and had to take a detour so I wouldn't get soaked by the fucking sprinklers of the upper-class apartment complex next to mine.  Several of them weren't constrained to the right arc and sprayed a good third of their arc directly into the sidewalk.  Three were aimed stationary at the sidewalk and sprayed so hard they shot clear over the sidewalk, over the streetside lawn, into the road, and put almost no water on any of the grass in between.  One was placed directly behind a landscaping tree and shot hard enough to blow its foliage off.

This is coming off one of the worst droughts we've ever had, mind you.

    Talkin' 'bout bad sprinklers. We've had a heat wave, so the museum at former Auschwitz camp set up sprinklers so people could cool down. Turned out visitors from Israel found it resembling showers a bit too much to feel comfortable.
