Generally speaking whenever I hear someone going on and on about how "factual" or "logical" they are and how much their opponents don't care about facts, what this tends to end up meaning in practice is that they are only ever capable of interpreting the facts in a way that supports their pre-existing position.
It's most common with anti-feminists, but you see this kind of arrogance almost everywhere.

The reason I left the atheist movement after high school. Not believing in God doesn't prevent one from believing in pseudoscience when it suits one's prejudice.
