For the longest time as a kid that phrase made me think electricity only goes through the path of least resistance.
Related: "converting mass to energy", and any common phrase that has to do with entropy.

Something tells me that I don't fully get the point.
You often hear that "Electricity goes through the path of least resistance." In reality, though, electricity travels through all possible paths in a circuit, it's just that more of it will go through the less resistant path. So, the former statement is confusing and misleading.
Ah yeah. Well, that's what I thought the complaint was in the first place, okay.
Wait till you have to calculate current as a function of position inside a solid block of graphite. THAT'S where shit gets fun.
