What I find most odious is the way police try to defend the indefensible: killing a young person.
Other recent victims: Kajieme Powell, Eric Garner, John Crawford, Ezell Ford, Dante Parker, and of course Michael Brown.

It's curious that there's no site centralizing information about this stuff(armed/unarmed, previous records, other incidents within the police district, measure being taken as a response). All we have is list articles.
I think Wikipedia keeps a list of deaths due to police action, though it also includes deaths of offenders.

Jordan Davis. Florida court is trying to figure out whether he was shot due to loud music or pointing a gun out the window. For the record, police never found a weapon in his SUV.
