"Don't use PayPal!"
PayPal is not exactly a high-reputation site, despite being a common form of sending money. It's been known to freeze money stored within PP accounts (and leave them that way), among other things. I understand that.
However, what bothers me about the "don't use PayPal" crowd is that they generally do not bother recommending alternatives. While I realize many sites offer paying directly by plastic, how am I supposed to send money directly to others then (e.g. paying back somebody who does not have reliable transportation to my area, paying someone to do art commissions), especially if they live overseas?
