dont try blaming the infinite sewers for not having the particular turd you seek just because you cant find it
I've been searching for an appropriate response to this whole idea, I think I'm gonna settle on "aaawkward".
:goonsay:
To be honest, I think it is a legitimate business decision. Gonna alleviate the hatred of the most vocal haters. I mean, I expect the modern versions of IE aren't as bad as it was when it got the reputation, so if I'm correct, the people who know how this sort of software operates should have a rather lukewarm attitude, and the Sunday users wouldn't care. That would leave the hate to more irrational folks, ie. nerds, and those could be expected to be swayed by anime porn. I don't know if I'm right, but that's how I explain it to myself.
Oh heavens, that emoticon matches current avatar too perfectly. Guess I'll need to fork over the :tenbux: and start a collection of questionable figurines.
I gotta say, while SomethingAwful's supply of emoticons is unusual and occasionally obnoxious, at least they're actually usable and applicable to situations. Unlike, say, the flood of icons from the Steam trading cards crafting system, which are all just little things from games which don't really make much sense as emoticons. A health pack? a horse? a character portrait?
Nanami chan is cuter
I think they both look terrible
I'm surprised she endorses building one's own PC.
Well, I think the Nanami ads are primarily targeted towards the otaku demographic, and that otaku are expected to prefer putting their own computers together over buying pre-built systems off the shelf.
Also, having Nanami build her own unbranded machine might just be to avoid endorsing any real-world manufacturers, because that way Microsoft doesn't have to pay for permission to use third-party copyrights in the ad.
I'm pretty sure even I could draw up a generic-looking CPU tower. This box looks nothing like a generic CPU tower and quite literally looks like a box.
