    I had to look up "aphorism" after reading this.


     


    It's one of those words that I've heard a few times, but have never really been able to discern the meaning of.

    In modern usage an aphorism is generally understood to be a concise statement containing a subjective truth or observation cleverly and pithily written.
    Isn't this pretty much the entire point of Twitter?
