    Most people prefer Keynesianism to the other economic/government models (even when they don't really know what Keynesianism is), if only because most people's views tend to gravitate to the center, and you can't get any more center than Keynes... and because he was an extremely quotable guy.

    Hm, yeah, most economic schools I can think of tend to be either heavily into free market, deep in socialism, or just plain out there. It seems to me nonetheless that there is some other mechanism in play, like during that time when every cool kid fapped to lesswrong. It's a bit of a pity that the most notable lesswrong fanboys have left (in one way or another), I would have had material for comparisons.

    The forum is kinda bland these days, at least the parts I visit. I don't post anymore, but I browse through it once in a while, so I can notice the trends in OTC.

    Nah, I'm just going off memory, how Fighteer cited Krugman in every second post in the European Debt Crisis thread (and goddamn was he annoying in that thread).
