I recently found out that I sounded like a muppet, and nobody had told me.

Get on Vocaroo and let us hear it.

Am at my dad's and don't have my mic.
Really should have thought this through.
This reminds me of when Vorpy compared my voice to that of Stan Marsh. Hopefully my voice has changed a bit since then, but I still have a horrible nerd voice in any case. I'll post when I'm alone again and can read something out loud without my having to explain to my roommate. It'll probably come across pretty poorly in any case as a result of not having a mic, though.
My voice... *shudders*
Urgh. If I had to pick one thing about myself I utterly despise, it'd definitely be my voice.
If there's one thing I wish I'd have, it's a badass deep voice.
Instead, it sounds like this (some recital, which I recorded on Vocaroo a long ago), and I'm quite unimpressed with it. Although people commented that it sounds legitimately scary when I get angry.
Dude. I wish I had that voice.
Instead I'm stuck with this (or whatever's audible behind the shitty recording quality).
I used to hate my voice.
Now I don't. It's just that it doesn't bother me anymore.
Everybody hates their voice. Mostly because how you hear yourself is totally different from how others hear you.
Here's what my poor friends have to deal with to every time I open my mouth.
(It's a reading of All Nines' post)
Meanwhile, somewhere in Sydney...
*Gulp* here's me.
Because this: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/chocolate-guinness-cake

I hear you.
How did you expect me to sound? I'm just curious.
Same here.

I swear, I don't normally say "crine scemes". Not sure why it came out that way.
What about me? Did I surprise anyone?
Yeah, you surprised me. You sounded a lot cooler than I ever expected.
Yeah, I know. I'm usually that awkward, if not worse. >_> Unless you mean you can't tell because of the shitty recording quality. Or both.
I'm not yet used to thinking of English-as-first-language non-American IJBMers in terms of accents. Also, your voice is a lot more confident and resonant than I guess I expect of IJBMers.
Not me, for some reason.
I expected Ironweaver to be higher pitched and All Nines to be more or less how Nyktos actually sounds (and Nyktos to sound deeper).
What about me? How badly does my accent show?
All Nines, you sound a bit different than I thought you would. Expected your voice to be a bit higher, maybe?
Oh, what about me? Didn't expect it to be so silly, right?
I was expecting a deep voice like that, but not for it to be so . . . raspy, I think? Probably lends itself well to harsh vocals, I would guess.
^^ Yeah, your accent is pretty apparent.
I have a friend who sounds exactly like you, Formaldehyde.
Damn it. Well, I've been toying with the idea of accent reduction lately (may as well master at least one foreign language).
Somehow I expected you to sound raspy, but not that much.
Nyktos is Canadian, actually.
Nah, I'm in Toronto. And the friend in question knows that my online name is Nyktos anyway.
