    FYI, I didn't mean to blame anyone for posting here, by observing that the other thread got far fewer posts.  If I didn't want people to post I wouldn't have made the thread; otherwise it'd be like saying TVT needs fewer anime work pages because there's too few classic literature work pages.


    And to be honest, I expect a thread like this to get more posts because, well, we're a bunch of people who are accustomed to media discussions.

    Yeah, upon thinking about it more I guess it makes sense that the reaction to this realization might be outsized.


    That said,...is it really true that observing something can change it?  I guess, in a way, this is vindicating a very unfortunate principle of quantum mechanics.

    Honestly the only one of the 'I need feminism because' ones I've seen held by a dude that wasn't ridiculous or making it about themselves was one held by a black man talking about intersectionality.


    Of course I need feminism because ranges from completely valid to 'because my dad doesn't like my boyfriend'.
