Lack of info on mercury in CFL bulbs

Broke the bulb. Didn't leave my room for around 5-10 minutes because I was groggy and still not awake, so it didn't register. Of course no site wants to SAY how urgent medical care should be, if at all

Just... Gah people!

You're overestimating the hazard of mercury, you'll be fine. (I've had mercury poured on me.)

Regardless, here are instructions for CFL bulbs disposal: http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/cfl.asp

Edit: Inhaling that dust probably wasn't healthy, though.

^ Most of the time my mouth was covered with a blanket and I was face down, which is why I was getting annoyed that virtually every site was pretty much going, "Death! You are in danger! Run!" instead of going, "Ok, so one CFL bulb? Here's what to expect"

"you duck spawn, refined creature, you try to be cynical, yokel, but all that comes out of it is that you're a dunce!!!!! you duck plug!"

Don't worry. If the mercury in these lightbulbs was harmful, the eco-lobby in the EU would never push for the ban on standard tungsten filament. I mean, they'd never enforce some harmful shit on us because of crazy eco-wankery, right? Right?

I am not a medical professional, but I wouldn't expect an amount of mercury that small to have really severe and dramatic impacts immediately.

Unfortunately, I am not a toxicologist and can't say what a small exposure to mercury would do.
