I ordered a book last week.
Today I received a box. Decent-sized thing, imagine a box that can hold about 15-20 standard DVD cases.
I open it. There's paper stuffing inside it.
I take out the stuffing. There's a bubble-wrap envelope taped shut.
I undo the tape. And then I undo the adhesive seal. There's a book inside, in tattered shrink-wrap.
Really, was that all necessary? I've seen people just send me stuff in the bubble-wrap envelope. And that's it. This is overkill.

Reminds me of the way CDJapan packs stuff.
Though I like it since things ordered from CDJapan are extremely expensive and getting damaged during their 2-3 continent romp would be seriously annoying.
They do it for books too.
No, shipping is a standard cost fo $3.99 per hardcover I think.
