When a song you like gets overplayed on the radio

Definitely not gay.

This is the big disadvantage of liking a popular band (besides being called a hipster)

Now I like Maroon 5 (I GLADLY SACRIFICE MY MANHOOD), it's a pretty cool band. The thing is that the radio likes the band too. It REALLY REALLY REALLY likes the band. Once I listened to One More goddamned Night 7 goddamned times in a row. 7 goddamned times in a row! And One More Night is one of their OK-to-mediocre tracks! Can you imagine how I felt when "Pay Phone" was popular?

So IJBM, do you get this feel?

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

    only with dubstep

i'm lucky if anything else gets played

    ever

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I just don't really listen to the radio. Spotify all the way.
  • The radio I listen to doesn't play music, except at intermission.

  • I don't listen to the radio. There is just not the demand for a station that plays black metal.

    Has friends besides tanks now

I just listen to what's on my iPod, YouTube new stuff/ occasionally Pandora for new stuff, or listen to what my roommate listens to while playing Mario Kart. Considering that it's hard enough finding a good hard rock/hardcore station, and I've surprisingly not even heard of a metalcore station, let alone a station for trve metal.

  • Poot dispenser here

I've sorta had this while working in the theatre shop a couple of times. First time, it was with some Christian Rock stuff, second time was with some Weezer songs (two songs played at least twice, and then Buddy Holly started playing as I left).

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Every time someone mentions radio, I kind of go "oh, right. That's still a thing."
  • I'm a damn twisted person
You don't drive much do you CU?
  • Has friends besides tanks now

That's what auxiliary cables are for. (presuming he has an mp3 player)

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

I have Sirius which is nice, since it lets me relive the 80s era of hard rock.

I drive about an hour a day these days. And there are lots of alternatives to radio.
