Lag, my eternal nemesis
Somehow, no video game (particularly online) can present a challenge as insurmountable or a foe so loathsome as lag.

Well, yeah, games do tend to be hard to play when they don't work.
I find disconnection to be a greater foe to face in the online game world.
Though I tend to be more annoyed at delay in loading images/video and stuttering audio than gameplay interference by lag, for some reason.
Disconnection is an instant-death spike trap; lag is a very tough monster.
