1) Yeah the guy deserved it

2) Christ I never even considered that hamsters would be anywhere NEAR that aggressive unless cornered. But that thing CHARGED at them

    Oh gosh.

The guy who got bitten should get himself checked for stuff like rabies.

^ According to all the accounts I read, that aggression's actually normal for that breed of hamster

Sorry guys, I can't stop myself from posting something like "I saw it ages ago". :) The War Hamster of Chelyabinsk. I oughta pay some respects to the critter, it got me to meet Beholderess metaphorically speaking. I guess it needed more time to diffuse to you than it did to me.

A hamster can be very dangerous in the hands of a Russian, especially if trained to go for the eyes.

Yeah, going for the eyes was the conclusion she immediately came to.

  • Hamsters aren't so cute after you've seen them kill and eat their own brothers and sisters.

Probably a radiated hamster from Chernobyl.

Nah, Chelyabinsk. As far as I know, the city's sort of Russian land of memetic stupidity and general weirdness. To boot, it's in the Urals, where you say bye-bye to any shreds of Western-style sanity you had kept so far. And if I'm not mistaken, it had its share of traditional Communist environmental negligence, so it may be closer to Chernobyl than it would appear at first glance.
