  • There is love everywhere, I already know

    I'll gladly be an escort.

    increased to $20,000.

    Surveillance equipment here I come...

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Dude, the starting funds have been $20,000 since you made your character.

Or was it a bit after that? I dunno.

    Gah.

I'm trying to remember when I changed it, but the issue is, I post both here and on IRC about it.

I think I ended up upping the limit when I was talking to Kraken, in order to... I don't remember my reasoning any more.

Oh, no, wait, yes I do; you guys needed bribe money, and funds to purchase anything you see that may help you on Traibunza.

Originally, I had planned to give you all a shared pool of money for bribes and side-missions to get additional funds for that, but it was becoming a tangled mess, so I just upped the starting money for you all.

Keep in mind that your funds are your bribe money.

(I guess that makes it official that you start with $20,000 now, too.)

  • There is love everywhere, I already know

Rebecca thanks the UPF for being so generous.

  • Yeah all my characters are socially inept, psychopaths, or drunkards. You guys will have to handle that particular end.

    which end :v

  • There is love everywhere, I already know

The part where we're polite and helpful to others.

  • The social interaction parts. Infiltration and all that.
  • You can change. You can.

Man at this juncture I'm not even sure of what I'm doing

    yaaaaaaaaaaay

    This was your last post.

In it, you indicated that you were finishing up on the planet:

"I think we're good to go"

"Very well then. Leland! Get us to the rendezvous point!"

Now, I have been waiting for quite a while for Kraken and fourteenwings to finish up their business on the planet, because I need all of you to be ready at once before I start the scenario.

Now, I finally bugged both of them into finishing up, so you are all ready to go.

Except, blah, I mixed up who had the ships.

Rather than fourteenwings and Kraken escorting Juan, it would be Juan and Kraken escorting fourteenwings.

My bad; I haven't peeked at who owns what in a while.

However, that will be happening... now, since everyone has finished up on the planet.

So, an explanation on how long trips work, as I can't seem to find it in the rulebook (blah), making this a homebrew rule I guess.

Basically, every time you guys go on a significantly long trip- walking to another city, flying to another planet, etc- you guys roll a d6.

For example, this time, Kraken rolled a d6 (on #ijbm) to see if there were any complications involved in the trip.

Kraken rolled a 2. This time, that meant that nothing happened. If Kraken had rolled a 1, he would have been involved in a random encounter- again, determined by rolling a d6; with a roll of 1 meaning that the attack is not at all severe, and a 6 being the hardest random encounter to fight off.

If Kraken has rolled a 6, he would have found a treasure; again, rolling a d6, with the lowest, a roll of 1, meaning he just found a box of rations or something, with the highest, a 6, meaning he found a crashed ship or something he could scavenge from.

This system is fairly modular, allowing me to modify it. For example, in hostile zones, I could expand the roll required for a random encounter up to 2 or 3; or, when in an area on a mission, I could expand both rolls to require a 1 or a 2, or a 5 or a 5, respectively.

It basically allows me to do away without giving you guys sidequests or annoying random encounters every time you go on a trip.

So, finally getting around to bumping this.

Juan has indicated that he would like to leave, so I'm probably going to find a way to peacefully get his characters off-planet, unless anyone else has a better idea.

  • You can change. You can.

Well, I finished with school just today and I finally got a working connection so I'm back. Link to thread plz
