Youtube low-quality start?
Anyone else noticed that Youtube vids start their first few seconds in low-quality and then the quality noticeably jumps higher after a short time?

Presumably, it starts out in low quality so that people with poor connections can watch the video, then once it decides that you have a good connection it raises the quality since you should be able to handle it. That's how most video streaming services work.
I have never seen this before.
Try being signed out.
(That said, if you have legacy cookies that still work, don't; just use a different browser.)
