When you are expecting something and it STILL scares the living daylights out of you

No rainbow star

I played around with an SCP mod for Minecraft. I knew exactly what to expect. I even built the damn staircase myself and used the spawn egg so I knew where it was when I went down later to shoot video

SCP-087 STILL scared the daylights out of me, and now I'm expecting it (albeit less blocky) to burst out of my closet, through my door, or through my window and murder me

Dammit why am I so jumpy!? ;.;

  • I'm a damn twisted person

    If anything your expectation of the thing psyched you up for the shock. If it was just a surprise it would haven't made such an impact if you hadn't been anticipating it so much.

    No rainbow star

    :< Still sucks that I built up that much tension in myself

    ...Mind you, I guess expecting it at the bottom and meeting it on the stairs themselves didn't help matters any. Of course, it's not like I could SEE the stairs, so seeing it at the bottom still would have gotten me...

    EDIT: The video for anybody curious:

  • I thought this thread would be about Slender.

    You always know the Slender Man is right behind you, but that doesn't make it any less startling when you turn around and he's standing there.

  • Well, there was a game mod or something with Slender Man in it where he was so poorly rendered it wasn't scary.

  • I'm a damn twisted person
    (Sl)enderman is always poorly rendered. It's his teleportation antics and static that are scary.
  • No rainbow star

    ^ To be fair, his antics work better if he's at least rendered well enough to blend in with trees

    ...Guh I remember seeing a Slenderman-esque figure in a tree. Took a picture because it looked cool. Then looked at the picture and saw that somebody was walking in such a way that they looked like fucking Slendy

    Made me jump a bit
